The Bikini Cocktail

Yields 10 guests

To make the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

Ingredients for the Cocktail (makes 850ml, serving 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Instructions

Making the Cordial: Combine the listed components in a saucepan, heat until it reaches a light boil, mixing to dissolve. Next, remove from the heat and leave to cool completely. Decant into a clean bottle, close it and store chilled, it will last for about a month.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Combine all the spirits and syrup into a sizeable container, let it rest for one hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, making it completely strained.

For serving: Add 85ml of the batch mix into your cocktail shaker packed with ice, gently stirring carefully for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Strain to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries and complete it with a light spray of the essential oil above the glass.
