I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
